Do You Believe So You Can Receive?
“It is better that a person believe in Jesus and Santa Claus than the person believe in neither.” —Dee Wilson
- You have seen Santa Claus. You see him with your own eyes for a period of a few weeks at shopping malls every year. So why don’t you believe?
- When you do not see God with your eyes, or touch him with your hands, or audibly hear His voice, how is that you can experience Him at the times that you are experiencing fear, and wrestling with doubt?
- Where would you say fear and doubt concerning the role of God in your life come from?
- What are you fearful of today?
- What are you confronting in your circumstances that on your own will lead you to sink and drown?
- What specifically do you need for God to empower you to overcome?
- What specifically do you need for God to empower you to overcome in your marriage and family life?
- What specifically do you need for God to empower you to overcome work life?
- What specifically do you need for God to empower you to overcome health and well-being?
- What specifically do you need for God to empower you to overcome in the world?
- What must you let go of to rid yourself of fear and doubt and begin to more fully trust God to help and empower you?
- How would it help you have the sure single-minded faith of a little child?
- How would it help you to seek instruction, direction, and wisdom with the single-minded intent and motivation of a little child?
- How would child-like faith empower you in recovery?
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
