- How might unmet expectations you have of yourself and others tie into expectations you might have of God that have not been met… yet?
- What do you want from God? Make a list, thorough and specific.
- Of the items on your list, which ones do you believe God can accomplish?
- Which of the items on your list do you believe God will accomplish?
- Of the items on your list that you do not believe God can or will accomplish, please explain why not.
- If God was everything you wanted God to be, what would that mean for you?
- If your relationship with God was everything you wanted it to be, what would need to change? What would it look like?
- If your relationship with God was everything God wanted it to be, what would need to change? What would it look like?
- How does your negative perceptions of God prevent or hinder your relationship with God from being what you want it to be?
- Please take a few minutes to pray and ask God to help you to see yourself the way He sees you.
- Ask God to reveal Himself to you clearly in the person of Jesus Christ so you can get to know Him as He is, as opposed to how He is perceived.
- Pray for hope to be realized by faith that God as He is will bless you with His best.
